I am a communications profressional passionate about connection. Connections between people, the stories we tell ourselves, and the stories we’re being told.
I graduated from Georgia Southern in December of 2020 with a degree in Writing & Linguistics.
After graduation, I knew I wanted to tell stories, and be a part of something that was bigger than myself.
Those desires brought me back to my old stomping grounds at Georgia Southern, where I currently serve as the Communications Coordinator for the Office of Research and Economic Development.
Working for my alma mater has been incredibly rewarding. I help highlight research news university-wide, and it’s an honor to have a front row seat to the incredible work of our students and faculty.
I’ve been working there for a little over a year, and in that time I have built on existing communication strategies (Newsletters, social media graphics) and learned new ones (podcasting)
Prior to working at Georgia Southern, I served as an AmeriCorps VISTA for the Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire.
This was really my foundation, as so many of my experiences there, seeing and working with individuals trying to better their community, formed the bedrock for skills I use today and still inform my communications style.
I’m always up for new challenges, new opportunities, and I’m excited to see what the future holds!
